Personal thoughts on the Test Shoot.
Aside from "I must wrap up even warmer from now on", what thoughts occured to me during the problematic test shoot? Well, being unable to film as long as we wanted to, we retired to Nick's house, and with the help of some post-it notes and a big piece of wood, we were able to create a proper storyboard for the first time, which revealed the main flaws in our storyline, and gave us the shot in the arm to think about how to fill two minutes with something visuallly interesting. Also, if the protagonist and antagonist have a confrontation at the end, the film will live up to its title ("The Streets Run Red"), and not be presenting a cop-out by stopping the sequence before any action takes place, which is an issue that Ms Blackborow raised when we first proposed the idea to her.
